Greenacres is close to beaches, castles, railways, lakes and the lively resorts of North Wales which are engraved in millions of childhood memories.
Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways - stretch for 25 miles through the glorious Snowdonia National Park, making it the UK’s longest heritage railway. Trains start from beneath Caernarfon Castle’s walls and take you along Wales’ highest peak, before following the foothills down to Beddgelert.
Harlech Castle - was built by Edward I between 1283 and 1295. This castle makes a great day out for all the family.
Portmeirion village - located just outside the Snowdonia National Park boundaries in North Wales.
Pwllheli Funland - is a popular tourist attraction located in the centre of Pwllheli, directly adjacent to the Maes.
Anglesey Sea Zoo - is a unique aquarium with over 40 tanks displaying the best of British marine wildlife!
Snowdonia National Park - in North Wales famous for mountains and the with Snowdonia National Park status and is the highest in England and Wales, Snowdonia is a great place to visit for all the family. There are six trails to the top, or if you don’t fancy walking, why not take the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views.
Great Orme Mines - is known as the largest prehistoric copper mine of its kind the Great Orme Mines date from during the Bronze Age using the most basic of equipment. Copper was mined here for many years until around the 19th-century. When bone tools and stone hammers have been found here, now open to the public and makes for some great outdoor fun.
Morfa Bychan - Black Rock Sands - is just down from that park is Morfa Bychan - Black Rock Sands, North Wales at around 2 miles long, of sandy beach - that you can even take your car down too and park on the beach, makes a great places to spend time with the kids.
Slate Caverns - are dotted around North Wales. Around began 500 million years ago deposits of mud and clay were deposited ancient seabed to eventually form slate. Used by Romans in the first century AD and by medieval kings to shore up their defences. By the end of the 19th century they were extracting half a million tonnes of slate per year.
Zip World - an adrenaline filled adventures. Dare you ride the zip wire all the way to the bottom? Big Red features two side-by-side lines 30 feet high. Titan 2 has evolved in 2021 to become an exhilarating tour and zip experience, containing 1 kilometre of the same four-person parallel zipping action, while adding an in-depth tour of this historic location to delight all ages.
